Edesix’s managing director, Richie McBride, has been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the 2016 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards.
Edesix, a global market leader in body worn camera solutions, has been shortlisted in the Scotland region, with the results being announced at an awards dinner on 23 June 2016.
Now in its 18th year in the UK, Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates the spirit and contribution of exceptional entrepreneurs. Running in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries worldwide, the programme honours those men and women who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses.
The awards are split into four regions; London and South, Midlands, North and Scotland. 139 companies have been selected as this year’s finalists, together employing over 39,000 people and generating a combined revenue in excess of £5.75 billion.
Richie McBride, managing director, Edesix said:
“I am delighted to have been selected as a regional finalist in the 2016 Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards. These awards recognise fast growing companies which achieve high standards of excellence, and is further evidence that Edesix is moving in the right direction as we look to expand into new markets overseas.”
Headquartered in Edinburgh, and established in 2002, Edesix are global market leaders in the production and provision of body worn cameras. BWC’s are proven to help improve the safety for those in public facing roles, while producing compelling legal evidence when needed. Being shortlisted in the Entrepreneur Of The Year awards comes hot on the heels of Edesix winning a prestigious industry award from the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) earlier this month.
